Goodnight friends! Another day where heavy, gloomy weather and low energy caused me to drag behind a bit. Maybe yesterday’s wilderness scrambling was a little draining. In any event I ended up very glad of my slowness today. The sky began to clear late on, and the evening was gorgeous – sweeping billows of threadbare clouds, warm honeyed colours and wildly swirling shapes. A little egret jostled for space stalking the reedbeds before yielding to a much larger heron that seemed burnished blue in the sleepy golden light. Constant burbling flow of birdsong, no single note or call left to pluck the air alone any more. On the other side of a stream a little deer grazed placidly on new shoots.
Feeling a little directionless as I’m considering still how to adjust my schedule, how to make space and reserve energy for creativity while maintaining my health and wellbeing.
May we find gentleness and healing today!
