Good friends! A sodden, drizzling and humid morning, giving way by degrees to a bright and sun-dappled afternoon, still feeling damp and suffused by a rich, warm fermenting scent of slowly drying grass. The sun-baked reprieve didn’t last too long though, early evening clouded over again and burst into a heavy rumble-throated drumbeat of thunder and rain, so thick it seemed like a fog, wind rippling it across the pavement.
More weary than I expected from the household sorting I did yesterday, and maybe hit hard by the damp and changeable weather too. Everything is a little effortful, like forcing my way through a thin and clinging gel.
May we find connection and warmth in our lives today!
