Goodnight friends! Air warm and prickly damp, interludes of staticky floating droplets gave way to heavier snare-drum showers as evening set in, all brief, none quite relieving the grinding tension in the air. Fuzzy velcro seeds of catchweed bedstraw hardening and swelling poison fruits of bittersweet nightshade turning red among the glossy midnight sweetness of blackberries. Scythe-winged swifts dart and veer far above.
A charming but draining outing today, testing my ability to use public transport a little as I visited a park near where I hope to move sometime in the next few months. The damp and the rain and long day and the gradual weight of stress caused by operating outside of my known bubble led to a gradual wilting collapse, familiar but something I haven’t dealt with for a little while.
May we find strength and confidence in recognising what we have overcome to get to where we are today!
