Goodnight friends! Culmination of damp and overcast humid days with scattered drizzle, rain started up, slackened and faded with a tight greasy feeling left in the air. Then an early evening storm came down with a surging thump of cool air, an hour-long pots and pans clattering chaos of rain storm. Afterwards there was a thick bitter scent like wet ashes, the sky was softened and thready white, a broad smudged thumbprint of a sunset.
Slept badly, woke up several times aching after light overnight showers. Bleary and sedated most of the day, grateful to have a friend come over and share lunch. A strong headwind against somewhat improved levels of energy otherwise.
May we our senses refreshed and delighted by the world around us today!
