Goodnight friends! Very wet and grey, with a thin endless rain that would barely commit to being more than dense mist, eveything dark and sodden and lent a satiny gloss by a film of cold water. Fingertips and cheeks still scraped red by the chill. Persistent alarm clock buzz of blue tit calls, scraps of furtive colour in the trees.
A cozy idle morning in bed with my girlfriend, easing the wait for painkillers to blunt the persistent buzzing edge. A hard day to get myself up and out for a walk, dull and flat and drained in the aftermath, but enough focus to keep myself engaged and somewhat alert as I did a few very minor household tasks and listened to an audiobook.
May we find ways to build and deepen communities of affection and kindness today!
