Good evening friends! More oppressive damp, even more rain and aches, half-lost troubled sleep and half-dazed hours of eking my way through eating and dressing. Very grateful for the gentle warm telepresence of sporadic online conversations keeping me company. Beginning to feel awake now, though hopefully I’ll be able to relax into sleep before long and wake up to something a bit more like morning.
Even cold days – and even nights – aren’t as sharp as they were just a week ago it seems, despite the extra chill of dark corners and strange sounds after dark. The sky a dull shifting bruise of grudgingly reflected suburban electric light, seeming to shift between grungy green and lavender and burnt orange moment by moment.
May we find compassion and understanding for ourselves and each other overflowing in our hearts today!
