Goodnight friends! A more changeable day, shifting dappled blues and sweeps of sudden hissing rain passing over meadows and streams like palms dragged across a bleary half-sleeping brow, raising a momentary simmering pale mist over the grey afternoon. Mud deep and sucking, either a honeycomb morass of water-filled bootprints or treacherous beds of blackened-brass leaves hiding swallowing patches of bog.
Some change for the better, more energy and less pain, though mostly just enough to get me feeling a little stable, like rest and quietness is a more temperate need rather than an urgent necessity on the edge of a precipice. Regained steadiness and strength in my legs as the day wore on.
May we find and nurture a deeper sense of self-confidence and stability today!
