Goodnight friends! The shortest day flickered through brief moments of colour and uncertain blue-grey light, sky stirred and sluiced by rattling, humming wind. Warmer but wetter, with impatient wind drumming on the windows soon after dark.
Not that much in me today. Hanging out with someone though a bunch of the day yesterday has left me feeling really drained. All on top of the dazed echoing numbness of the latest batch of pain and insomnia, worsened by the weather. Felt a little bleak, especially this time of year, to see so starkly how much every activity, physical or mental draws from the same shallow well. Gradually my mind cleared, and I even did a little simple cooking in the evening.
May we find a sense of balance and stability in our lives today!
