Goodnight friends! Heat still fierce, but a little less parched and with thickening clouds, premonitions of a release of breathless tension in the next few days.
Some writing and research, perhaps a little less scatterbrained, but I’m still sleeping badly and meandering away hot midday hours. I did go out to hunt for possible perseids after all. Hard to tell if I could really see much gazing up into a sky washed out by the moon and conurbation glow, blinking with aeroplane lights. I think I saw a few faint streaks, like the dull shine of a thread catching the light in a swirling bolt of black cloth.
May we find a renewed sense of loving-kindness for all the past selves who did all they could with what they knew and brought us to the present!
