Goodnight friends! Feels nearly as warm as the false summer days of mid-March. Lace and ribbon fragments of cloud again in a blazing blue sky, precise glyphic white shapes are formed and obliterated by the wind like dissolving alphabets from half-remembered dreams. Whenever I think cherry blossoms have run their course there’s a fresh surprise – first the tiny, unassuming flowers of bird cherries, now the exhuberant decadence of dessert-pink Japanese cherry trees, blooming massively like spiralling swirls of foam.
Fully steady on my feet for first time in a while, short bursts of confident activity and an overall sense of lightness. A string of warm and sunny days has definitely helped. This mild setback happened at a slightly annoying moment, as I was beginning to work out how to reshape my days to make creativity more viable – hopefully the spring and summer will bring more good days to keep that project viable.
