Goodnight friends! Around 14°c, feeling colder with a thin, sharp breeze, but when the full blaze of the sun cut between gilt-edged cumulus towers it there’s still a touch of summer warmth. Equinox passed now, and afternoon ebbs swiftly rather than lingering reluctant in the doorway, a peach flush along the horizon by 6 PM. Bushels of ash keys darkening among the canopies, drifted leaves blanching to a uniform pale fawn.

Nights suddenly very chilly, hard to sleep comfortably and deep bone aches persisting through the day. Dinner with my girlfriend’s parents went pretty well I think, my social stamina not much bigger, likely even a bit smaller, than my battery for everything else, so that used up most of my energy for the day.

May we treat each other with gentleness and compassion today!
