Good evening friends! This odd lacuna of unseasonal warmth continues, even moreso today – about 25°c, even in late afternoon I could taste the dry rock and drowsy honeysuckle scent of heat in the air. Birches and linden trees flutter with blunt tongues of orange and yellow fire, crisp dry leaves underfoot crunch and shatter into confetti. Squirrels pause in their elastic scurrying, hanging like miniature gargoyles from the eves of gravestones.

Another somewhat drowsy day, time stretching and melting, but I got a little more sleep, more able to focus and pain dragging less.

May we find fresh wonder and delight in the same everyday moments today!
