Goodnight friends! Bright and brittle with restless winds that bent the long backs of the poplars, especially to start. A chill that scrabbles at the skin and feels far harsher than 11°c would make me think. A few fugitive autumn hawkbits and faded herb-roberts remain, but mostly dramatic colours now arise from the carpets of fallen leaves, the crowns of trees starting to look bare and spiky.
Out to get my vaccinations, not too long a trip but fairly exhausting. I elected to take both in the same shoulder, reasoning that in the worst case managing one functional and one busted arm is easier than with two semi-useless ones. So far bearing up well, was able to meet up with the TTRPG group in the evening.
May we find mutual bonds of support and care today!

Photo of a large creamy trooping funnel mushroom bursting up onto a sun washed leaf littered lawn, its thick-edged cap raised at the margins and collapsed in the centre, lobed edge folded over itself, revealing the fine, shadowed striations of gills beneath.
