Goodnight friends! Tatter-tipped yellow hawkbits, wiry, geometric branching stems of field horsetail, unfolding st. john’s-wort leaves and red-keeled Himalayan balsam. All the tough, spectacular perennials of high summer are beginning to open up, beneath a damp, flurrying sky, iron grey to soft forget-me-not blue and back moment by moment, prickles of incipient rain and the rough hor caress of sunlight on my scalp.

Hit pretty hard again by the whirling barometer, clumsy and easily exhausted. Had to cut exercise a bit short and generally divide my day into short coherent stretches between painful drifting.

May we work towards deeper acceptance of our strengths as.well as our flaws today, and grow in confidence in our ability to change and grow!
