Good evening friends! Still muggy, but no rain and the sky much more open, whipped cream towers with granite foundations and upper edges of white fire. Air savoury and thick with scents of damp soil. A new round of floral fireworks, bristly pale pink creeping thistle and deeper purple fist-sized bull thistle emerge amid their thorny barricades, yellow crowns on the wiry stems of st john’s wort.
Managed to do a light workout for the first time in a while even a bit more than I thought despite the humidity and some persistent lymphatic swelling and soreness in my neck. A new round of mild stess-buzz as there’s some sorting and packing to do for the move-in in a few days.
May we find ways to recognise and celebrate the people in our lives who support and cherish us today!
