Goodnight friends! Snapped back to heavily clouded patchwork skies, stipples and rags alternating with towering walls of violet grey. Temperature dipped back down to 12°c and sharp shadows only fitfully undulating across shaggy lawns glinting with neat rows of raindrops. Distinct, fecund scent of wet soil, sharp and warm and dark like Chinese ink. Trees gaining the first loose green robes of full canopies, shining with the polish of recent rain.
Resting carefully and consciously is still a big part of the shape of my days, making sure I leave intentional quiet, empty hours and empty days around larger activities. A little low-impact drawing, a gentle walk, eating. Gradually feeling my baseline reservoir of daily function refilling.
May we find relationships and communities that help us grow and be truer to ourselves today!
