Goodnight friends! Far clearer and more vivid skies today, broad azure swathes unfolding between heavy clumping obelisks of cloud. An unexpected deep welling of emotion as I passed by a bank of spurges, the same ones I noticed and identified last year, as if reuniting with a familiar and expected friend. Nondescript scraps of by the side of a track that become first sites of discovery, then parts of the texture of my life. Some hawthorn leaves taking on their full characteristic toothed and lobed shape.

Still tired and leaden, though pain is far more manageable. I cut back a lot on exercise, but was feeling confident enough to do a much gentler, more abbreviated workout – not wanting to slide into a gloom of helplessness and inactivity through being more anxious and timid than I need to be.

May we find the courage and confidence to allow and welcome growth and change today!
