Goodnight friends! Air thick and clinging, hints of foggy murk scrubbing away the edges of far-off trees even around midday. Thick succulent black slugs, bellies incongruously trimmed with checkered orange, brood over fallen apples or strive like globs of thick oil across footpaths. A constant slow rain of pale yellow willow leaves spiralling downward.

Woke late again, sore and already feeling a little defeated. I’m very grateful that nothing is quite failing me, even as I fall into a seasonal slump of reassessing my energy levels and pain tolerance – I drew a little, I stretched and took a slow, cautious walk, I had the energy to eat. It’s enough to keep going on as I find my bearings.

May we find and share peace, security and comfort today!
