Goodnight friends! Foreboding clammy humidity of the past few days came to a head. After a few hours of tossing, keening breeze the grey sky stilled and a dense hazy drizzle began. A few times the blustering wind rose again and the rain thickened and hissed before temporarily breaking off. I managed to slip outside in one of these gaps between the worst of the showers, into a world of murky, darkly glittering colours and the thick ripe fungal smell of wet earth and decay.
Slept a bit more, but not deeply or restfully, half-woken from pain several times. Grinding, gravelly aches persisting through the day too, catching myself with shoulders raised and teeth gritted in a tense, exhausted animal hunch. Feeling more generally run down than yesterday too, energy fluctuating and unpredictable.
May we find patience and acceptance today!
