Goodnight friends! Dense, clammy grey air all day. A faint morning fog persisted and clung in part-bare branches, coalescing eventually into thin silent rain that brought its own colourless haze, tinted faintly peach as the sun set. White cottage cheese slime moulds cling to fallen leaves in blobby clumps and tendrilled lattices.
Muddling through with scattered coughs, a tender throat, tiredness and aches beyond the expected still – on top of the pains brought on by damp. The day seemed to rush past in a blur of forgetting and fatigue, hours rolling past as I gather my breath and energy. A little writing, a little household caretaking, a bit of a treading water feeling.
May we treat each other, and ourselves, with grave and compassion today!
