Goodnight friends! Warming slightly under the unyielding muffling blanket of wan grey clouds. A few days without rain now and the air feels lighter, though sunlight is still so diffuse as to retain the sense of a thin mist. Slight chiming songs of little unseen birds seem to sound from every nook and corner like the ringing of unseen crystal chandeliers. The dark sour scent of the earth slightly smokier as it has the chance to dry out a little.
A bit of surprise admin and planning today, as some unexpected paid holidays for a friend and my girlfriend lined up with a comics convention in November. We all put our heads together over the afternoon to figure out the logistics for making a big combined trip in November without breaking the bank or my health. A new outing to nervously look forward to! Felt like I gradually regained some energy over the day, managed my full stretching routine in the evening after a long post-walk rest.
