Goodnight friends! Another curiously warm November day, sky fitfully dark but mostly with a smoothly pewter half-brightness after overnight rain. Pompon corymbs of hydrangea flowers are faded to a blanched greenish white, but still clinging on. Looping, winding paths of slugs and snails make silvery palimpsests of old worn-smooth gravestones. Desultory popcorn rattle and flat boom of leftover fireworks for a while after dark before another band of drizzle rolled in.

No feeling quite so ropey today, managed a little scattered drawing and a few small household tasks, but still quickly exhausted and shot through with hot wires of pain. Had to return to bed for a few hours just to recharge enough to manage some food. Can feel the rest doing me good though, and planning to get as much sleep as I can tonight.

May we find rest and healing today!
