Goodnight friends! Even and still, a cool but not quite cold-feeling 12°c. Light a perpetual murky lilac grey twilight through dense, nearly featureless clouds. Fleshy mushrooms with bulbous, billowing white caps crowd together beneath the nearly bare lindens. Wet earth mingles with the scent of slow burning from leaf-pile fires and Diwali celebration fireworks.
Disturbed sleep last night, dull grinding pain rearing it’s head again as I tried to sleep. Much of today felt similar, dragging resistance to every movement and foggy sleep deprivation. Gradually easing over the afternoon, and able to relax and enjoy the evening. These kind of days become more common every autumn, and always take me a bit by surprise.
May we savour anew the small joys and wonders of our everyday lives today!
