Goodnight friends! Fluid, breeze-blown patchwork skies, brief sweltering solar spotlights and smoke-grey billows that held a vague rainy menace, probably averaging about to a brisk but not unwelcoming 15°c or so. Stiff, symmetrical columns of willowherb just beginning to flower, wonderful weedy pink garlands of herb-robert along mossy corrugated rooftops.
A busy camping morning followed by a leisurely afternoon. I got to try the kinds of camping socially adventurous activities – assisted climbing, abseiling and ziplining, karaoke – that haven’t really been accessible to me for the past few decades. I got to do gentle, paced volunteering to help keep the camp moving. I got to bask and listen and people-watch. My heart feels pretty full.
May we find spaces and communities that welcome, support and nourish our whole selves today!
