Goodnight friends! Up to 20°c at times, a mixed and scattered sky with a slow throb of humidity. Again a gradual increase in tension eventually burst into overnight rain. Overgrown meadowy areas and even cropped lawns teeming with life. Gangly long legged craneflies, so awkward and ungainly when they blunder into our habitat, seem perfectly at home in the climbing frame chaos of long grass. Striking, saffron-fuzzed golden dung flies, finely striated brown click beetles, ants inspecting dense swarms of little black bugs carbuncling ox-eye daisy stems.
Joints protesting more as the day went on, but I had enough energy for some stretching, and the mental clarity and focus for some drawing too. I was able to ramp down the intensity as the grindstone edge of fatigue loomed, and hopefully managed my pace adequately to keep going with a similar level of interest and energy tomorrow.
May we rediscover and embrace childlike enthusiasm and excitement today!
