Goodnight friends! A much more dour and wintery-feeling day, down to 7°c, breath steaming faintly in the air. Cold dew thick and palely glinting in the grass and emerging feathery mats of cow-parsley beneath a heavy, closed in grey sky. Squeaking trills and scrabbling scuffles of birds up in the trees, the shrill calls and rapid arrow-straight flight of a parakeet overhead. Slightly eerie persistent tap tap tapping of the birch tree still weeping aonto a patch of sodden earthfrom its severed branch.
The drop in temperature and the damp, gloomy sky slowed me down a bit today, slept fairly well but woke up aching and a little dazed. Did a little household work and admin, took a slow walk, but generally felt a little fatigued and thwarted, found energy rapidly sapped by activity.
May we find resilience and persistence in our lives today!
