Good evening friends! An ominously flat grey start gave us a few heavy, snare drum clattering interludes of rain, but a breeze started up again after lunch and it didn’t take long for the afternoon to regain much of the animal musicality, light and lively balminess of yesterday. Most trees are still barely budding, or coloured by blossom, but the trailing, swaying tendrilly crowns of weeping willows are already turning from dull yellow to sharp acidic green. Sun reflected hugely on the water like a great disc of beaten gold.

Felt deflated and tired out by the morning rain, so an even slower start today, but not so hard to bear with the aches in a generally warmer atmosphere. Some of that weight at least lifted off by by the skies clearing, so I was able to enjoy the fully daylit spring outdoors.

May we find strength and derermination to pursue our courses and aspirations today!
