Goodnight friends! Scattered clouds beat away by blaring heat that rose from mid-morning on to around 30°c, bouncing back up off the pavements, grass blonde and crisp. Heavy plumes of smoky cumulus began to gather with the evening, but so far only light drizzle. A tense sticky suggestion of thunder to come in the next few days.
Staying with my girlfriend a few nights, slowly gathering a sense of my new neighbourhood and going out on a few brief local adventures, a little heat-dazed but content.
