Goodnight friends! The climb towards the height of summer is marked for me by the transition of hues I’ve been seeing the past few days – multicoloured swathes of speckled colour, campions and buttercups and forget-me-nots, are all wallowed up and overwhelmed by the sheer exhuberant volume of green. New flowers still emerge, spikes of powder pale lilac-pink common bistort, shadowy purple woundworts. But bromes and sedges brushing past my eyebrows, nettles dazzlingly sunlit and shoulder high, simply visually overwhelm new blooms at any distance with their mass and shade.
A far clearer day, 18°c weather much easier to deal with when emerald gitters of a fresh breeze rush across the crowns of trees. Didn’t have much energy til evening, a little drained and with mild hot twinges of muscle pain from exercising.
May we build a sense of safety and confidence through understanding and respecting more about our limits and boundaries today!
