Goodnight friends! Dizzying blaze of blue, temperatures brushing up against 30°c around noon. Uncertain quivering punctuation marks of little sticklebacks seeming half heat stunned in the shallow honey-coloured streams, predatory menace of a tiger-striped dragonfly patrolling along the banks, hunchbacked and finger-thick.
Taking it easy today after yesterday’s optimistic return to exercise. I took long slow walk and had a nice little quiet picnic in the woodland near the reservoir, cut short when I realised I was being swarmed by mosquitoes. Now interminable itchiness has been added to my difficulties getting to sleep.
