Goodnight friends! A little warmer with patchwork powdery sky to start, full of undulating ridged clouds and long grey ribhons tasseled with white. A few rain-dappled crocuses beginning to open their outer sugary-coloured shells, revealing hints of deeper purples and brighter golds within. Pale, scaly green buds stand in neat ranks on cherry laurel branches. Afternoon rain came on brief and heavy in the gloom of a grey twilight.
Sloe and uneventful day, sleep better but a little cobwebby and slow to to wake still. A nasty, scratchy raw feeling is brooding around the top of my throat, not feeling too severe for now. It could all be one of my occasional immune overreactions, or an incipient cold of some kind. I’ve been gargling and irrigating with salt water in a superstitious attempt to keep it at bay if it is a virus.
May we find rest and recovery today!
