Goodnight friends! Thankfully teetering a little above freezing, the sky clearing and darkening in several slow roiling waves, a long band of smoky orange forgelight simmering distantly in the westerly sky for an hour. Flights of sleek sickle-winged gulls – sometimes black, sometimes pale as the thin moon, sometimes with breasts stained sunset amber – scull easily through lens-sharp air clarified by cold.

Shot through with thin wires of jolting, icy pain, still very much in a slow recovery mode. Losing my breath, strength, stamina easily, but a bit more in the tank already. Hard going for now, but felt like I could carve out interludes of agency and focus a better today, a little time spent on drawing.

May we renew our delight and fascination in the world around us today!
