Good evening friends! Clear and cold again to start. Shards of muddy ice grinding underfoot in puddles and ghostly traceries of frost lingering in the deepest shadows, but a faint pallid half-forgotten feeling of sun-heat against my back. Another sighting of a stray bar-headed goose by the reservoir. I wonder if it’s really lost, whether its the same one still searching or another lonely traveller.

Wind died down and rain began to encroach in dim afternoon. My tentative plans of evening activity dissolve as slivers of pain re-enter my joints. Grateful for the lovely morning and hints of spring ahead.

May we grow in compassion and mindful awareness today!
