Goodnight friends! A fair sight warmer, around 9°c, and the sky, while mostly still blanched and flat, was high and often suffused with a soft brightness, split by jagged blue tears and murky banks of low, brooding indigo. Rain came in a few hard and hectic bursts, rattling and bouncing. A few crocuses managed to open, though several of their goblet flowers ended up half-full of water, saffron stamens extinguished.

Some extra fatigue and heaviness as well as a mild sore throat in the morning, but over the day it seems to have faded away, and I’m left with only a little stuffiness. Can’t tell yet still if this is a slow and insidious ramping up phase or if this, whether a very mild virus or an immune hiccup, is all there is to it. Kept everything careful and slow, just in case.

May we commit to and reinforce habits that nourish us and support our goals today!

One has opened into a cream-coloured cinquefoil flower with a shallow trumpet of notched, rain-speckled petals, its centre a splash of bright sunshine yellow.
