Good evening friends! Most of yesterday’s spring feeling drained away again so fast. Today’s sky was already back to a timeless spongy grey, air thick with speckles of cold unfalling rain. A blunt, sodden wind bent treetops and caught at tarpaulins from building work on a nearby block of flats, a forlorn hiss and snap sounding leaden in muffled violet evening air.
The return of heavy low-pressure air and seeping, creeping cold felt heavy on my joints, little strength or motivation to spare. Pleased I still got through my necessary self-maintenance but it was slow going – what I think of as my start-the-day routine of gentle stretching and getting dressed took most of the day.
May we find relief from suffering and moments of peace and gentleness today!
