Goodnight friends! Clammy, heavy skies returned, a tumbling skyscape of basalt boulders softening colours and muting the passage of morning to evening into one slow flat glide. The water of the reservoir still has the oily, soupy green tinge of algal blooms and a faint astringent scent. Blood-bright poppies in full bloom now, tissue-fine flags waving in the cool breeze.
Another estate agent visit, another day that got a little twisted through itself by the marker of an appointment, with a knot of waiting and empty afterwards. Twinges of a deeper, icy pain in my joints with damp gathering in and the temperature dropping.
May we work to set arrogance and ego aside and accept setbacks and failures with grace and understanding today!
