Goodnight friends! A similar cycle of weather as yesterday, with a glum, pale morning and brilliant afternoon, but perhaps a faster-clearing sky and a bigger bump in temperature. Around 15°c, clarion birdsong rattling and fluting in the trees and a fitful squabble for the best vantage points. All kinds of little hedgerow flowers bursting into life, yellow wall-lettuce and stitchworts, speedwell and honesty and feral geraniums, a deep pleasure in being able to recognise them and incant their names in my head as I walk.

Mostly a slow and restful indoor day, Zidling and gathering energy. A little afternoon charity shop expedition with my girlfriend in lieu of a regular walk, her for costume supplies and me mostly for general solidarity, though I did get to come home with a pretty little lacquered wooden bowl as a prize.

May we find our sense of curiosity and wonder about the world refreshed today!
