Goodnight friends! Awoke to a dense, chaotic rattle and pounding of raindrops on the roof and window, an oppressive heavy static that lasted for hours, slowly ebbing over the afternoon with brief brisk snap showers returning every so often. Cooler and wind still bustling even in the clearer afternoon, yesterday’s clear water high and turbid. Green froth of undergrowth now crested by the first tentative umbrels of cow-parsley flowers.
Poor sleep over a cold damp night, buildibg stiff pain in my joints, heavy grinding fatigue and muddy thoughts. No creative energy for a few days, doing my best to keep things slow and steady, maintain even a little forward momentum so things are easier to return to.
