Goodnight friends! Smokily blue-grey piled clouds, occasional ribbons of clear sky quickly smothered. Rain started in the mid afternoon – plump but very diffuse droplets, not enough to feel the need for anything waterproof – and continued in a similar way for hours, infrequent rhythmic wet taps against windowpanes. The first rhododendron flowers opening up on the dark bushes, crumpled white silk with yellow leoparding in their throats. Grooved, finely-fuzzed stalks starting to telescope up from feathery patches of cow-parsley.

Not sleeping or recovering super well still, or at least not consistently. I might still be pushing a little too hard, wanting to get household tasks done and be active in too short a time frame. Dizzy spells and sudden hard walls of fatigue hitting hard. A very slow chilled out evening, aiming to get re-centred.

May we find our sense of wonder and enthusiasm for life refreshed today!
