Good evening friends! Sky half clear this morning, pale and distant wintery blue, though there’s still clumping basalt hillocks of gravid cumulus rolling by. A freeze overnight and more of the same fine pebbly snow fell – sticking this time on bitter cold ground, nestling into little crevices and glittering along paths like gravel. Another grey wagtail, flanks yellow as the height of spring, flitting along the eves of a stream’s overhanging bank.

Subdued somewhat by the cold, back under the blanket for most of the evening but feeling mentally a little more functional than I have been. Took care of a few household tasks and managed to follow the plot of an audiobook.

May we find moments of nourishing and unexpected joy today!
