Good evening friends! A brief break from overwhelming concrete flatness this morning, broad horizon-spanning swathes of bright electric blue. Temperature nearing double digits, shadows laying long and crisp-edged and purple on dry golden grass.
I got a real sense of ease and hopefulness from even today’s short break from the aches and pains damp overcast skies bring on. It becomes an invisible weariness after a while until it’s lifted. I drew a little for the first time in what felt like weeks. Not very well – my eye is a bit deconditioned – but it felt good nonetheless.
