Goodnight friends! A very bright sunwashed start, cloud slowly gathering but only slowly beckoning darker and heavier towards evening, coppery afternoon light half-smothered as if through a veil of smoke. Warm throughout, around 18-20°c, though the clammy feeling of moisutre and damp dark soil makes it feel more autumnal.

Very painful and fatigued morning, slow and stiff, becoming more predictable and a little easier to manage as a rainy time of year settles in. An afternoon walk with my girlfriend, during which her dog was transfixed with bemusement by a distant encounter with an insolently relaxed fox, only recalling her urgent passion of barking as it casually slunk away. We made dinner together too, comfort of our regular rhythm falling back into pale after her holiday.

May we find renewed inspiration and fascination with the world around us today!
