Goodnight friends! Fairly warm still but cooling off, around 20°c, far more humid and patchily overcast with streaks and swirls of grey. A few stray electric prickles of damp on my skin like tentative experiments at drizzle. Little green caterpillars dropped from their hanging threads by sudden damp gusts search for hiding spots with frenetic stop-motion speed. Pale glaucous seeds of lawson’s cypress are beginning to firm up and swell, separating into horny plates.

Camp all packed up and home today, a hot, drowsy feeling of aching fog settling over me exacerbated by the humidity. Feeling fairly satisfied at how I managed my energy, I’m not sure doing less would have given me much better results. Mobility and cognition have both declined quite a bit, I think sleep will restore a little.

May we find healing and recovery today!
