Goodnight friends! Sharp, blustery winds in the early hours, the sky a vivid scraped-clear blue by mid-mid afternoon and the sun blazing all day. About 17°c by the time my girlfriend brough her dog over for a short walk in the churchyard. Minute winding tendrils and lozenge leaves of vetches clambering up the wild grasses as foxtails puff out into brown fuzz, catchweed bedstraw and chickweeds and speedwells all putting out tiny white flowers. Dusty pink-red stalks of sorrel buds, tree trunks leoparded with the trembling shadows of leaves.
Didn’t sleep too badly, a fairly standard level of soreness and malaise post exertion. A slow morning in bed seemed to help a fair bit. Dizzy spells when standing or moving, but mostly relatively light ones that passed befpre too long, and I managed to help a little with meal prep for a dinner date. Overall, at least a day of somewhat limited activities tomorrow probably called for.
May we find a sense of balance, stability and agency in our lives today!
