Goodnight friends! Much brighter, flitting clouds causing sunbeams to sweep across the ground in slow heartbeat throbs. Around 10°c, breeze still cool but drier. Thin rusty squeaks of tree limbs bowing and twisting. Slender white buds on a serviceberry tree, and in the shade beneath the yews the first blazing pink blooms of shining crane’s-bill. Tiny pinhead hints of garlic mustard buds, and stiff vertical racemes of almond-sweet cherry laurel flowers.
Sleep returned to poor form, extra offset by losing an hour to the clocks changing over the weekend. Took a long time to get going and shake off the worst of the lethargy amd aches, but I did manage to keep going with most of the things I hoped to do – some drawing and writing, a little light household work – albeit in shorter bursts.
May we find a sense of safety and respite in our lives today!
