Good afternoon friends! A crisp and pitiless morning, sun rising harshly orange like a broad band of smokeless flame on the horizon. Ice spreading further and deeper across the reservoir, rippling shoals of branches and debris stuck in place and out of time. After the clear dawn clouds rapidly thickened and clung together, the cold taking on a brooding stickiness again.
Aches woke me early, and my energy dipped fast – managed to get out & savour the air a little while I could, the rest of the day I’ve been relatively content under a blanket.
