Goodnight friends! Shifting patchwork weather, a cool but bright morning giving way to drizzle, then in turn to a gravel clatter of fierce slanting rain that kept up for an hour or more. After the sky cleared overhead it was easy to see the rain moving on, distant tattered grey clouds sweeping down in drybrush grey streaks, a shimmering windblown fragment of rainbow drifting by. Squills and winter jasmine looking shining but a little haggard with the impact, fragile cherry-plum petals strewn pancaked to the wet earth.

Sleep a little better but still sore and fitful, kept from drifting off by twisting stabs of pain in my joints. Aches continued through the day, but my mood and my energy in general, though not really my thinking ability, were a little improved. Able to pace out several brief bursts of activity, a little household work, a little drawing.

May we find inspiration, wonder and excitement in our lives today!
