Goodnight friends! A disappointing return to hazy, droplet-filled air, a thick sticky scent of mud and decay, and a foggy smothered feeling that only deepened as the day wore on. Even in the murky, shadowless atmosphere a few flowers blazed out, the first tentatively unfurling rosettes of barberries, yellow lanterns of daffodils, almost fluorescent pink cyclamens. The fresh tips of sodden moss blankets have an emerald-like glint.
Sleep came a little easier, though I still woke up to the icy grinding of pain in my joints which took a good while to get habituated to. Took a short walk and carefully stretched out some clenched areas of guarding muscle, testing my readiness for exercise. In the end I did go to judo, though kept things fairly slow and stayed out of some of the rougher stuff.
May we listen to and learn from each other with care, attention and compassion today!
