Goodnight friends! Another flat grey start with hints of thready mist after thin, lingering overnight rain. Warming slightly, around 7°c, but feeling clammy and chill at first until the afternoon clouds began to peel back by slow degrees. Gradually they revealed a few hours of near-empty blue sky, a gentle, cool golden flame caressing the lustrous moss and bare, grasping twigs.
Sleep pretty poor still, and energy flagging and fitful. Body feeling scraped raw and inflamed, damp cold weather and the insidious cycle of a few bad nights leading to bleary, off-rhythm days. A friend came over for a quiet afternoon, it was a comfortable and relaxing few hours but even that left me feeling exhausted before long. Just a bit more rest and patience and maybe some more painkillers needed, it feels like.
May we allow ourselves the space and grace to make mistakes, learn and grow today!
