Goodnight friends! Still very cold, though a degree or so was gained thanks to low, grim, featureless papery grey clouds that completely snuffed out the distant glinting brightness of the past few days. Instead of frost we got a constant thin haze of rain, mostly the typical bland british drizzle but with occasional squalls of stabbing diagonal prickles, fast but still near-silent. After dark the downpour eased, petering out to be replaced by a dense fog, broad hazy smears of orange light and bare black branches dissolving like spectres into the grey night.

A little more energy today, managed to go through all my stretches – though it was a real struggle gathering up the focus and motivation – and felt a bit better for it. Not much creative spark or drive beyond that, though I was able to bring some of my new zines over to the currently inevitable blanket nest.

May we find renewed wonder and awe at the world around us today!
